With over four decades of pioneering work in the chemical industry, Rajesh Desai, M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (K.C. College, Mumbai), stands as one of the early architects of India’s specialty chemicals sector.
In 1986, he founded Chemsons Industrial Corporation, establishing the first manufacturing facility in India for Sodium Naphthalene Formaldehyde (SNF). This pioneering move laid the foundation for domestic production of high-performance concrete admixtures and positioned the company as a trusted name in the construction chemicals industry.
Under his leadership, the group has built long-standing strategic partnerships across the globe, including exclusive arrangements with leading manufacturers in Russia, China, Korea, Latvia, and Japan. He also holds an exclusive partnership with Jindal Steel for naphthalene supply — a critical raw material advantage that strengthens the group’s competitive position.
Today, Rajesh Desai serves as Director across four companies and continues to guide Chemscout Chemicals with deep technical insight and commercial experience. The organization is a proud supplier to major industry leaders including SIKA India, Lafarge, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), and several other national and international construction and industrial groups.
